Debra Simmons, R.N., M.S.Debra Simmons, R.N., M.S., is the Executive Director of COSEHQ serving in this role since 2000. She has overall responsibility and accountability for the management and administration of the organization. Simmons grew up in the West (Salt Lake City, Utah), where she also attended the University of Utah to receive both her B.S in Nursing and M.S. degree in Administration. Early in her career she worked as a clinical nurse in both neonatal and pediatric ICUs, moving into hospital management positions after two years. Her experience includes hospital department director positions at children's hospitals in Honolulu, Hawaii; Houston, Texas; and Lafayette, Louisiana. She served as the chief nursing officer at the Intermountain Health Care children's hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, for eight years prior to accepting a Robert Wood Johnson (RWJ) Health Policy Fellowship in 1994. From 1994-1995, she worked on both healthcare and welfare reform legislation in the Washington D.C. Senate office of Robert J. Kerrey (Nebraska). In 1996, Ms. Simmons moved to North Carolina and joined the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center as the Quality Management/Disease Management Director to develop, coordinate, and implement disease management initiatives for an integrated regional network of physician practices affiliated with Wake Forest. In her current role, she works closely with the COSEHQ Board of Directors, COSEHQ Centers of Excellence, and COSEHQ staff to insure the goals and initiatives of the organization are met.

Susan Moxley, B.S.Susan Moxley, B.S. , is the Program Coordinator and the CME Coordinator for COSEHQ. Susan has served in project management at Wake Forest since 1989 in multiple, national clinical and observational research trials funded by NIH and the CDC, focusing on diabetes, cardiovascular disease, behavioral health intervention, exercise intervention, hemochromatosis, genetics, and radiation oncology studies. Susan joined the COSEHQ team in December, 2015 where she is the event coordinator for the national meetings, involved in the multiple CME programs, and COSEHQ committees' activities. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina - Greensboro, and she enjoys gardening, the beach, antiquing, and time spent with family, friends, and canine friends.

Alex Sheek, B.S.Alex Sheek, B.S. is the IT Director with COSEHQ. He is working with COSEHQ's rapidly expanding database analysis and processing. Born and raised in Clemmons, Alex received his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Gardner Webb College. His first five years of employment after graduation were with a computer consulting firm in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He then founded a successful IT consulting business in Clemmons, North Carolina which he developed and worked with for the next twenty years. Alex decided to join the COSEHQ team in 2011 as an exciting opportunity to work in the healthcare field and continue to expand his programming and data analysis experience.
